The Straight has been covering this city since 1967, known by locals because it's always noticed small things before anyone else did. Things like new bands playing basement concerts. Restaurants with six tables. People building something in a spare room on the east side and quietly hoping it works.
We are a Vancouver company in the least glamorous sense of that phrase. The Oz was designed here, tested on this city's rain, hauled up and down this seawall by people who live here.
